Company Description
The Patient Service Coordinator works as part of the administrative and medical office team performing those clerical and administrative duties necessary for patients who are a part of Florida Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (FBCCEDP). The Patient Service Coordinator assists the Director of Managed Care & Billing as needed in order to meet program requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- AA in Healthcare Administration or related field or Medical Assistant Diploma
- Experience in health education/promotion, community health, social work, or healthcare office setting preferred
- Experience in medical terminology and strong understanding health care screenings and prevention preferred
- Experience in conveying health-related information via phone, or email is highly valued
- Ability to interface effectively with members of culturally and professionally diverse staff both verbally and in writing
- Self-motivated, diplomatic, tactful and a team player;
- Proficient computer knowledge in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
- Bilingual, English & Spanish, or English & Creole preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours
